PRFC APPOINTS A NEW DIRECTOR 21/04/2022

In recognising his dynamism, creativity in finding solutions, and many other qualities, our Board are pleased to advise that our former Account Executive Ross Cabral has been appointed as an Executive Director of PRFC, with effect from 21/04/2022. 

 

In his new role, Ross will be leading several of our initiatives into the ongoing professional development of our staff, the exploration and provision of new service offerings, and in supporting our Team's efforts in extending our market lead in the quality of our provision of service to our customers.

 

On Ross' appointment, our Managing Director, Rodney Farah, said “We are delighted to appoint Ross to this position. A WARM WELCOME TO KWESI JOSEPH -  01/03/2021

March has started off with a bang for us, with the addition of a new member to our claims team. Mr. Kwesi Joseph, Dip.MICIA, A.BA.

 

With several years of experience at a well-regognised local Adjusting firm, Kwesi joins us With a Diploma in Motor Insurance Claims Investigation & Adjusting, as well as an Associate Degree in Business Administration.

RANIKA ACHIEVES "CERT CII" STATUS! 10/02/2021

We are pleased to celebrate Ranika Persad's successful performance in her recent Chartered Insurance Institute (UK) examinations, and to offer our hearty congratulations on her new “Cert. CII” status.

 

This Level 3 Certificate in Insurance is a foundational qualification for insurance staff working across all sectors of the profession, developing core knowledge and confidence of the key disciplines of general insurance including the regulatory environment, key disciplines of underwriting and claims, in addition to popular products such as motor, household, healthcare and packaged commercial insurances.

 

Ranika’s commitment to formally enhancing her technical knowledge is but one part of her approach to providing our clients and other stakeholders with Simply Outstanding Service, thanks for your efforts Ranika, and well done!

COVID-19 - AN UNPRECEDENTED CHALLENGE

In many ways, the COVID-19 pandemic has caught the world totally unprepared for the social and economic upheaval it caused in record time. With a number of vaccines being rolled out, a brighter future awaits, but in the meanwhile we must be diligent in our efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus, and in navigating the very difficult changes to our personal and business lives. LOOKING FORWARD TO 2020!

Our roadmap for PRFC's next 12 months has now been completed, with a number of initiatives in the works to begin deployment from the 1st January 2020. With enhanced internal and external training for ongoing staff development, and a series of carefully-defined projects that will enhance our outstanding service offerings, we are excited to roll these out in the coming months!

PROJECT CARE 2019

Once again the ProjectCareTT team has suceeded in transforming a local school in order to improve the current and future lives of hundreds of local children. The Nelson Street Girls RC school in Port-of-Spain was the target for their 2019 large project, and the results (as always!) were simply amazing. Their efforts have resulted in a safer, cleaner and better equipped environment for learning for the girls of the school, fostering immense pride amongst the students, teachers and parents. The changes ProjectCareTT have implemented have an enormous impact on the quality of care and morale in the school and home, and we salute their efforts. A hearty thank you to the ProjectCareTT team for the massive difference they continue to make for so many families!

PRFC HAS MOVED TO NEW OFFICES! 13/02/19

We are pleased to announce we have moved to a new location, at 6 Rapsey Street in St. Clair. We're just one door down from our former offices, and are excited to be settling in to our larger and more appealing space.


Our new building enjoys great natural light, and our improved layout offers the PRFC team an even better work environment, complete with training facilities, dedicated meeting spaces and updated technology. These improvements will all serve to enhance our already-outstanding levels of service to our clients and to our Insurers, and we look forward to welcoming you should you wish to drop in for a chat over a coffee!

PRFC WELCOMES OUR NEWEST TEAM MEMBER, ROSS CABRAL! 04/01/19

Here we grow again! PRFC was happy to welcome Ross Cabral to our Broking team at the beginning of January. Ross is an Alumni of Fatima College and was previously working with a large local Life Insurance company.


A keen sportsman, Ross is a talented surfer, footballer and golfer, and he has represented Trinidad & Tobago at the Callaway Junior World Championships in California. Ross continues to dominate the links, and is the current local Champion having won the Trinidad & Tobago Golf Association Classic in January 2019.

PROJECT CARE 2018 HAS BEEN COMPLETED! 20/5/18

Once again, the Project Care team has sucessfully completed significant improvement works at a local school, this year at the Ascension Anglican Primary School, in Dibe, Port-of-Spain. A staggering amount of planning and effort on the part of 1000+ volunteers and over 230 sponsors has resulted in a complete transformation to the school in just 3 days. This will impact the lives of not only the more than 200 students currently enrolled there, but successive generations of kids in the area for years to come. Congratulations to the ProjectCareTT team on another job well done!

KERRI ENJOYS CONTINUED EXAM SUCCESS! -  24/04/18

The PRFC team is so proud to congratulate our own Kerri Boodoo for her passing the Insurance Law module in the CII exams this week.

 

This represents a vital step towards her continuing rise up the CII ladder, and we are grateful for the hard work she is putting in, as well as the added value she brings to our clients as she broadens her technical knowledge.

PROJECT CARE 2018 IS IN MOTION! -  24/04/18

The amazing team at Project Care is at it again! Project CARE raises funds and executes large scale design/construction projects designed to address the lack of resources at schools and homes, where people are often trying to execute their missions to educate and raise children in less-than-desirable conditions. The Project Care team has found that their efforts to significantly lift the quality of the environment in which children are taught or taken care of has an enormous impact on the quality of care and morale in the schools and homes they have worked with, giving kids a better

If you visit our offices, you'll notice that PRFC's team is sporting a fresh new look, with our latest uniforms from Janouras Custom Design.

PRFC WRITES ARTICLE ON CYBER THREATS IN AMCHAM'S LINKAGE MAGAZINE - 15/09/17

With massive increases in the number and scale of cyber attacks, it is critical that business owners fully understand how these attacks can occur, and what they can do to protect their operations from the financial effects of a successful cyber breach.


In order to assist the business community in this vein, PRFC was pleased to write an article on the topic of cyber threats in the second edition for 2017 of Linkage, the quarterly trade publication of The American Chamber of Industry & Commerce of Trinidad & Tobago.

PRFC WELCOMES RICHARD WONG TO THE TEAM - 03/07/17

In our committment to ensuring the very highest levels of service to our clients and Insurers, we are extremely pleased to welcome Richard Wong to the PRFC team, in the new role of Quality of Service & Operations Manager.


Starting his insurance career in 1985 as the claims manager for a large local Broker, he moved up in the company to a Senior Account Executive role in 1990, and was charged with the design, implementation and management of insurance programmes for large corporate clients. From 1997-1999, Richard was appointed as their Quality Manager, responsible for the design and oversight of their business improvement initiative, and the analysis and improvement of their marketing, customer service, claims and accounting functions.


In 2006, he joined Massy United Insurance Limited, as their Assistant Manager in Business Development and Underwriting, a role he served in until 2014.


Richard has served as a part time lecturer at and examiner at the Academy of Insurance, and is in the process of completing his ACII qualification.

PROJECT CARE PULLS OFF ANOTHER AMAZING SUCCESS- 20/05/17

Project Care TT is a non-profit group committed to helping those in need, with an emphasis on benefiting the youth of our Nation. With the help of financial sponsors, literally hundreds of volunteers gave of their time, skills and energy, and with a massive effort over a three day period succeeded in the rehabilitation, expansion and equipping of the Cocorite Government Primary School with stunning results.


The long-term effects on the many thousands of children that will benefit from this event cannot be overstated, and we urge you to keep an eye on their efforts so that perhaps you can assist with their next adventure! IBATT MEETING WITH JSC ON THE INSURANCE BILL 2016 - 28/03/17

As a member of the IBATT Board of Directors, our Managing Director, Rodney Farah, was pleased to contribute at the 4th meeting of the Joint Select Committee on the Insurance Bill 2016, held at the Office of the Parliment on March 28th, 2017.

PRFC'S P&I SEMINAR, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SHIPOWNERS' CLUB UK - 31/3/17

Welcoming the Shipowners' Club from London, a group with over 160 years' of experience in providing Marine P&I and associated covers, PRFC and its partner Meridian RSL hosted an "Introduction to P&I" seminar at the Marriott Courtyard in Port-of-Spain on the 31st March 2017.


With a current client base in excess of 32,000 vessels worldwide, the Shipowners Club were able to provide an extremely valuable insight into P&I cover, market practice and claims procedures for our attendees who included a number of local shipowners, operators, anciallary service providers and other interested parties.

PRFC HOSTS CYBER LIABILITY SEMINAR AT AMCHAM'S 2014 HSSE CONFERENCE - 26/9/14

PRFC was the proud sponsor of a panel discussion on Cyber Liability at the American Chamber of Industry & Commerce of Trinidad & Tobago's annual HSSE conference, held at the Hyatt Regency in Port-of-Spain.
